Celestial Magic is the innate, otherworldly force wielded by the Angeli. It is not learned through study nor granted through ritual, but is instead an intrinsic aspect of their existence — a manifestation of the same celestial source that shaped their bodies, minds, and souls. Unlike conventional magic, Celestial Magic does not rely on spells, sigils, or external conduits; it responds to will, emotion, and alignment.
To mortal observers, Celestial Magic appears as light, harmony, and overwhelming presence. It bends reality gently rather than breaking it, favouring revelation, balance, and transformation over raw destruction. Its use is often accompanied by physical phenomena such as radiant light, changes in temperature, resonant sound, or a profound emotional impact on those nearby.
Celestial Magic is not monolithic. It expresses itself in several recognised aspects, commonly associated with different Angelus subgroups. These include, but are not limited to:
- Lux Arcanum – the shaping and manipulation of light
- Verba Divina – the use of the celestial voice to influence truth, emotion, or will
- Vitae Caress – healing, restoration, and emotional harmonisation through contact
- Lux Oculi – divine perception, allowing the Angelus to see beyond illusion or deceit
While scholars attempt to categorise these manifestations, Angeli themselves rarely speak of their magic in rigid terms. To them, Celestial Magic is less a tool than a state of being — an extension of identity, purpose, and inner truth.
It is widely believed that misuse of Celestial Magic does not corrupt the power itself, but rather the Angelus who wields it, often leading to dimming, instability, or exile from their own kind.
