  The Cardinale Regalia is exclusive to members within The Cardinale, acting as a quiet declaration of loyalty, rank, and readiness, while blending seamlessly with Cerellea’s urban nightlife. The wardrobe is modern, practical, and designed for agility in the underground, ensuring members can move from ceremony to combat without sacrificing comfort or authority.  

Material and Production

Made from soft-touch, moisture-wicking blends, silk-infused cloudmilk fibers, and lightweight technical weaves, the Regalia offers breathability and structure. Reinforced panels and hidden stitching maintain durability for humid underground air. Production occurs under the Syndicate’s black market network, with trusted Syndicate-aligned ateliers quietly handling orders through shell companies and protected trade routes. While expensive, owning Regalia is a mark of rank and dedication, often paid through favors or off-record trades. Members typically receive theirs during initiation or rank advancement, with replacements available through Syndicate tailors for those who maintain the privilege.  

Cardinale Colors and Ceremonial Wear

Cardinale Colors

• Base Colors: Black, charcoal, deep graphite with matte finishes for stealth and occasional matte black embroidery or tone-on-tone geometric patterns for subtle luxury.
• Accent Colors: Deep crimson, blood red, maroon (crimson linings in jackets, piping or seam stitching visible only under movement or direct light dark forest green, deep jade, black with subtle green sheens (green lining inside jackets, discreet green embroidery on cuffs or collars muted gold, deep ochre (black garments with muted gold piping, occasional gold-thread embroidery on inner collars or hidden hems).
• Neutral Integration: Black and charcoal remain the primary base, ensuring members blend into the shadows of The Cardinale, while accent colors are integrated into linings, inner seams, piping, or layered panels, visible only as garments shift or sleeves roll during movement.

 

Ceremonial and Event Variants

• Fine thread filament embroidery along seams.
• Silk-blend panels for subtle sheen.
• Embroidered family or suit crests on inner linings.
• Gloves with etched sigils for Grand rank and above.

The Regalia includes Veilcut jackets, Shard shirts, Slate trousers, boots, modular layers, and unisex pieces. Variants appear for ceremonies, Trials, or Council gatherings, adding fine filament embroidery, silk-blend panels, embroidered crests, and gloves with etched sigils for Grand and above.

• Veilcut Jacket: hip-length, slight waist shaping, standing collar, concealed zippers or matte buttons, suit-color linings.
• Shard Shirt: fitted/relaxed, moisture-wicking, black/gray/muted tones with geometric weave.

Rank in the Syndicate is signaled through subtle color accents and Arcana-based modifications. Accents appear in linings, seams, piping, and hidden panels, visible only during movement or under certain light.

These accents are not only aesthetic but grant members subtle recognition within The Cardinale’s hierarchy, often visible only to those trained to see them.
 

• Sovereign: deep platinum gold shimmer or black-gold gradient on collars, sleeves, clasps.
• Ace: deep crimson or blood red on cuffs, seams, shard edges.
• Magician: silver/steel gray in seams and embroidery.
• Jack: deep jade/forest green in cuffs and panels.
• Numeral: dark ochre/muted gold stitching on seams/loops.
• Joker: dark violet/midnight blue in hidden linings/accessories.

 

Arcana Rank Accents

• Minor Arcana: basic black, minimal markings.
• Grand Arcana: subtle seam stitching, sun/moon faction emblem on collar.
• Imperial Arcana: detailed shimmering threads.
• Major Arcana: dark metal chain clasp, removable.

 

Accessories

Accessories double as identifiers and tools of the trade.  

• Playing Card Necklace: A small, flat pendant shaped like a playing card, worn on a black cord or fine chain under clothing. Marked with the suit and rank of the wearer (Aces have a tiny ace symbol, Numerals have a number and suit, Magicians/Imperials have an abstract swirl or mirrored motif). The pendant can double as a key to Syndicate lockers or hidden compartments, a covert sharp-edged emergency blade, or a communication device tag for higher ranks.
• Signet Rings: Matte black or dark metal rings engraved with suit symbols. Wraiths may wear rings with a thin colored stripe matching their suit. Some rings conceal micro capsules for poison or emergency stimulants.
• Cuff Links: Black metal or obsidian with inlaid suit symbols, used during Trials, high meetings, or formal gatherings within The Cardinale.
• Earcuffs: Simple black earcuffs engraved with a suit symbol on the inside. Higher ranks may feature Mirage Honey filament inlay for a subtle shimmer.
• Belt Clasps: Discreet black belts with hidden clasp etchings of the suit symbol, capable of concealing a small retractable blade or lockpick for emergencies.

 

Usage and Ritual

The Regalia is worn only in The Cardinale or under Syndicate orders, with masks outside if required, and only at night. Each garment is treated with respect, cleaned and maintained as a sign of devotion.

What is Veilcut?

Veilcut represents cutting through the veil between surface and underworld. It is a Syndicate-exclusive design and fabric treatment for garments worn within The Cardinale. It symbolizes cutting through the veil separating the surface world from the Syndicate’s underworld, representing loyalty and readiness to operate in the shadows. Veilcut garments feature clean, sharp lines with minimal drape, precise tailoring in hip-length or long coats with concealed closures, and lightweight but durable fabrics suited to Cerellea’s underground climate. Discreet vents and gussets allow ease of movement during confrontations. Removing Veilcut before leaving The Cardinale is a ritual of separating Syndicate life from the surface.  

What is Shard?

Shard embodies layered adaptability in the Myriad Syndicate. Shard is a layered construction technique and aesthetic used in base layers and casual wear within The Cardinale. Inspired by shards of glass or obsidian, it represents precise adaptability. Shard garments feature overlapping panels for a minimalist texture, slit seams for airflow, and hidden pockets for functionality. Made from moisture-wicking, soft-touch fabrics dyed in deep matte tones, Shard reflects readiness, practicality, and the quiet luxury the Syndicate demands.
