EVE Society Host

Job Type: Social Influence & Networking Eligibility: Top 100 Academic Rank at Vikan Academy Access Level: Invitation Only Location: Vikan Academy (Azalea City, Cerellea)
“At Vikan Academy, joining EVE isn’t about being liked—it’s about being followed, studied, and obeyed. Society members don’t chase popularity—they manufacture it, control it, and decide who gets a seat at the table.”

Overview

While the job title may say Host, the role carries more weight than the name suggests. EVE Society Hosts are the gold standard of social and cultural power at Vikan Academy. Part luxury companion, part public figure, part strategic manipulator—Hosts don’t simply entertain. They influence, observe, seduce, and guide. They are the faces of the academy’s most elite society.   For those selected, the rewards are enormous: fame, favors, protection, and a lifestyle most students can only dream of. For those watching from the outside, the envy is palpable.

Eligibility & Entry

To become a Host, a student must:
  • Rank within the top 100 of their academic year.
  • Receive a formal invitation from a current EVE member, the EVE president, or a Myriad-linked observer.
  • Pay a mandatory monetary donation and first dues before the end of the month.
Until payment is received, invitees are considered trial members. They may attend limited events and benefit from social bragging rights, but they are not full members and cannot host or access the highest-tier privileges. Those who fail to pay in time are removed from the roster—quietly and permanently.

Daily Life of a Host

EVE Society Hosts are expected to:
  • Lead daily tea and conversation services for Vikan students.
  • Attend exclusive on-campus and off-campus events.
  • Entertain guests at Golden Week galas and seasonal masquerades.
  • Represent the academy at elite social functions.
These are not passive appearances. Hosts must read the room, build rapport, and elevate the tone of any gathering. Their mere presence changes the dynamic. Guests compete for their attention. Staff defer to them. Classmates orbit them.

Why It’s Coveted

EVE Hosts enjoy perks beyond belief:
  • Celebrity status within Vikan and rising social prestige across Cerellea.
  • Preferential treatment from teachers and administrators.
  • First access to rare internships, elite study groups, and alumni networks.
  • Endless social invitations, curated wardrobes, and paid appearances.
  • The chance to be seen—desired, admired, envied.
For many, it’s the first time they feel like someone of worth. That validation—academic, social, emotional—is addictive.

The Pressure

But the spotlight burns.   Hosts are constantly watched—by their peers, by the EVE Council, by the Syndicate. One wrong move can trigger scandal or suspicion. Missteps like public intoxication, missing class, dating below one’s rank, or even appearing sloppy can chip away at their image.   While violence is rare, the social battlefield is ruthless. Rivalries are subtle but brutal. Gossip spreads like fire. Mental strain is common. Hosts who crack under pressure often lose their rank, their status, and their place in the EVE entirely.

Syndicate Influence

Although EVE is considered a neutral zone, most members are linked to the Syndicate in some way. The EVE Council—its ruling body—is always composed of Syndicate members. Their purpose? Surveillance, recruitment, and influence. Hosts are trained to recognize threats, keep magic secret, and maintain Syndicate dominance over Vikan’s social terrain.   Unspoken Syndicate Rules:
  • No magical fighting, duels, or “accidents” are permitted at EVE events.
  • The Aeres building is hallowed ground—sacrosanct and shielded.
  • Any Syndicate member who brings shame, scandal, or exposure risks exile from both the Society and the Syndicate itself.

Host Code (Unspoken Rules)

  • Smile like you mean it—even when you don’t.
  • Never show weakness in public.
  • Do not outshine the Council unless you’re ready to be challenged.
  • If you slip, recover fast. There are no second chances.
  • Your image is everything. Guard it like a secret.
  • Loyalty to EVE comes before personal drama.

EVE Council vs Members

There are two ranks within the Society:
  • Council Members: Hold the most power. Their authority overrides seniority or popularity.
  • General Members: Hosts with full privileges, but no say in policy or enforcement.
Trial members are not official. They exist in limbo until their dues are paid. There is no formal retirement—only graduation, quitting, or being removed due to failure, rank loss, or disciplinary action.

Inside & Outside Vikan

Inside Vikan: Hosts dominate the social food chain. Teachers favor them, clubs court them, and rival subcultures either fear or resent them.
  • The Grinders view them as distractions.
  • The Codegray mimic their style.
  • The Bricks often act as unofficial bodyguards in exchange for favor.
Outside Vikan: Their reach extends into the city.
  • EVE events spike venue sales, attract tourists, and influence trends.
  • Some Hosts build fan followings on social platforms.
  • During Golden Week, even international visibility is possible.

Final Word

To be an EVE Host is to carry a crown you can never let slip. The job is intoxicating, perilous, and glorious. It can destroy you.
Or turn you into a legend.
