Currency and Student Cards at Vikan Academy
Vikron and Student Club Cards are integral parts of Vikan Academy’s financial and social systems, governing the way students interact with both the academic district and the wider Azalea City. The use of these systems emphasizes the academy’s focus on control, convenience, and student life management.
Purpose: These cards are issued to members of student clubs. They can be used for club-related activities, such as purchasing items, entering club events, and receiving proceeds from fundraising or contests.
Activation: Physical cards are given 5 to 7 days after joining a club, while electronic cards are issued instantly and linked to the student’s ID.
Purpose: This card is reserved for the club leaders and is primarily used for managing club funds. It allows the holder to access and spend funds on behalf of the club, ensuring that financial transactions are handled properly within the organization.
Transferability: These platinum cards are primarily used to transfer Vikrons into the club’s account and for official club expenses.
Vikron: Vikan Academy's Campus Currency
Vikron (pronounced Vick-crown) is the exclusive campus currency at Vikan Academy, designed to facilitate transactions within the academic district. This currency can only be used inside the academic district and has specific rules governing its use and conversion to regular currency.Activation & Usage
Account Activation: Students activate their Vikron accounts through their student ID, linking it to the academy’s digital system. Starting Balance: At the start of each semester, students must deposit a minimum of 50,000 Cers into their Vikron accounts to activate them. After the initial deposit, students can add additional funds in any amount. Expiration: Vikrons have a built-in expiration feature and will expire at the end of each semester. Students must use or transfer their funds before this deadline.Restrictions
Active Status: Vikrons can only be converted into regular currency while the student is active within the Vikan system. Students who are expelled or have graduated can no longer exchange their Vikrons. Students on academic probation are prohibited from converting Vikrons into Cers. Geographic Limitation: Vikrons are only valid within the academic district. It is strongly recommended that students transfer any remaining funds into Cers before leaving the district, as Vikrons cannot be accessed off-campus.Transfers & Monitoring
Digital Transactions: Transfers between Vikrons and Cers are managed through a digital transaction system available via an online app. This system allows students to monitor their balances and perform transactions with ease. Transfer Limits: There are no limits on the frequency of Vikron-to-Cer transfers. However, large or irregular transfers may trigger monitoring and potential meetings with college administration to ensure there is no misuse of funds. Physical Withdrawals: While most transactions are digital, Cers ATMs are available on campus for students to withdraw Vikrons as physical money. The Vance Hall ATM is the most prominent location for this purpose.Vikron Spending Locations
