The Fungal Growth
Within the forests of the Sylvan Enclave there lies one small region which has continually prevailed against the Cypress Queen's attacks, spreading through her forest like a parasite. In the northeastern part of her forest, there is a large grotto of myconids and fungal creatures which grow their own roots to leech off of the forest's life force. This removes the Cypress Queen's ability to see into their region, making it far more difficult for her to lead an assault.
The Cypress Queen views this growth as a parasite and an insult to her very existence but has trouble doing anything about it since it is difficult for her to pinpoint exactly where the area is even located and any scouts she does send often do not return. She is also unaware of their motivations or goals so is unable to attempt any kind of diplomacy.
The Fungal Growth really has no particular goals. They seek only to exist, expanding only as a byproduct of this. Ironically, the myconids of the Fungal Growth are doing to the Cypress Queen what she wishes to do to other nations, consuming her forest from the inside out. The fungi that led to the origin of this region are also necessary within the forest in order to connect everything together and allow the Cypress Queen to see and communicate through her forest.
Demography and Population
While a few druids and non-myconids do make their homes within the Fungal Growth, most of its population is myconids and other such fungal creatures.
