Isjeinr Folk Religion

Among the many oddities the Isjeinr or far northern Veturoth are known for, their religion is perhaps one of the most curious. Many scholars believe parts of it to be an older form of Sevari, but just as many of its figures and traditions are entirely separate. Some are even considered heretical by the Sevari church, which lead to the War of Two Suns--a religious crusade which ended rather disastrously for the Sevari crusaders, most of whom froze to death, were lost at sea, or fell to the arrows and harpoons of an enemy they could not see. Since then, the Sevari church has maintained a policy of bitter tolerance, choosing to mostly ignore the heretical implications of Isjeinr religion, and refusing to outright address the topic at all.

Priesthood

Unlike the Sevari church, the Isjeinr do not have much in the way of an organized priesthood. While some of the larger Isjeinr communities do have shamans, religion is primarily passed down by community elders through oral storytelling and cultural customs. Additionally, shamans are often well-regarded hunters, elders, or community leaders outside of their religious station.
