Spire of Erenas
Prophecy is a fickle flame—burning brightest for those who least understand it, and vanishing when grasped too tightly.
The Spire of Erenas is a towering structure of silvery obsidian and pale, veined marble, shaped like a spiraling helix that narrows toward the sky—each tier slightly offset like a winding staircase meant for gods. The building seems taller than it should be when viewed from the street, and birds avoid flying over it. The narrow windows shimmer with an unnatural light from within.
- The Whispering Hall – Upon entry, visitors are greeted by a vast, echoing space where dozens of softly murmuring voices seem to come from the walls themselves. These whispers—said to be echoes of old prophecies or memories of those who sought answers—are not always coherent, but sometimes they speak directly to a listener’s thoughts.
- The Chamber of Threads – A circular room deep within the spire, filled with thousands of thin, shimmering threads suspended in midair. Each thread represents a possibility or outcome. Diviners trained by the temple can walk among them, sometimes plucking at threads to trigger minor visions.
- The Sanctum of the Eye – A private, velvet-draped chamber where high-level priests and seers perform readings. The centerpiece is a massive, iridescent orb known as the Omniglass, which pulses in sync with certain celestial alignments. It’s said to have once shown a vision so powerful it blinded a high priest for life.
- The Spiral Archive – A hidden, lower-level archive filled with coded scrolls, celestial maps, and unfinished prophecies locked behind rotating puzzle doors. Only those trusted by the temple are allowed access.
