Grestlevask Mountain

After the third attack, High King Rykul was pressured to close the mines, however, it was his brother, High Prince Kelvhan Grávens, who gave the final order to have them closed off.

Grestlevask Mountain is a towering, jagged peak, visible from almost every part of Grávenholm. Its steep cliffs and sharp ridges make it a natural barrier and a breathtaking feature of the city's skyline. The lower slopes are densely forested, while the upper reaches are barren and covered in snow for much of the year.

It dominates the northern border, near heavily populated North Parish, nestled between the Dragon's Eye River to the west and the Serpent's Forks River to the east. The rivers carve natural boundaries along the base of the mountain. These waterways were once used to transport ore and goods from the mines but now serve as key trade routes for the city. The rivers are turbulent near the mountain, with rapids making navigation treacherous.

The mountain is riddled with caves and tunnels, both natural and man-made. Many of these entrances are now sealed, either collapsed intentionally by the city authorities or overtaken by nature. Others remain open but are heavily warded to prevent anything from the Underdark from escaping into the city.
