Xalanti Elves

Xalanti Elves Physical Description:   The Xalanti Elves are a subrace of elves deeply attuned to the dense rainforests of Ravel, their physical appearance reflecting their naturalistic lifestyle. They have an almost ethereal, primal beauty, with features sharp and defined, making them appear both wild and regal at the same time.   Body: Xalanti Elves are slender and athletic, with toned muscles that reflect their agility and strength. Their skin is usually in earthy tones—ranging from dark tan to deep olive—with subtle patterns resembling tree bark or leaves, almost as if nature itself has marked them.   Hair and Eyes: Their hair is typically wild and flowing, in shades of green, brown, or deep auburn, sometimes woven with vines or feathers. Their eyes are sharp and bright, glowing in shades of green, amber, or gold, giving them excellent vision in their shadowy forest home.   Cultural Adornments:   Xalanti Elves adorn themselves with natural materials, including vines, leaves, and bones. They often wear minimal armor, preferring the freedom to move swiftly. Intricate tattoos made from natural dyes decorate their bodies, symbolizing their deep connection with the spirits of the forest. Ability Score Adjustments:   +2 Dexterity: Xalanti Elves are incredibly nimble and quick, their movements graceful and silent. +1 Wisdom: They are in tune with the natural world, giving them keen instincts and awareness.   Size:   Medium.   Speed:   35 feet.   Fey Ancestry: You have advantage on saving throws against being charmed, and magic can’t put you to sleep.   Trance: Elves don’t need to sleep. Instead, they meditate deeply, remaining semiconscious, for 4 hours a day. (The Common word for such meditation is “trance.”) While meditating, you can dream after a fashion; such dreams are actually mental exercises that have become reflexive through years of practice. After resting in this way, you gain the same benefit that a human does from 8 hours of sleep.   Forest Dwellers:   Fleet of Foot: Your base walking speed is 35 feet. Mask of the Wild: You can attempt to hide even when you are only lightly obscured by foliage, heavy rain, falling snow, mist, and other natural phenomena.   Elven Senses:   Darkvision: Accustomed to living in the dense jungle canopy, you have superior vision in dark and dim conditions. You can see in dim light within 60 feet as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.   Keen Senses: You have proficiency in the Perception skill.   Jungle Warriors:   Natural Ambusher: You have advantage on attack rolls against creatures that have not yet acted in combat.   Toxin Resistance: Due to their knowledge of the flora and fauna of Ravel, Xalanti Elves have advantage on saving throws against poison and resistance to poison damage.   Connection to Nature:   Spirit of the Forest: Once per short rest, you can cast Pass Without Trace without using a spell slot, drawing upon your connection to the natural world to become nearly invisible in the wilderness.   Languages:   You can speak, read, and write Common, Elvish, and Sylvan.
