Velethye

Velethye is a formidable walled fort city that safeguards the northernmost border of the Hekkeran Empire against the neighboring Theocracy. The city is situated on the eastern coast of the empire and has a commanding view of the sea. Its massive walls, constructed from dark gray stone, tower high above the surrounding countryside, and are lined with guard towers and battlements. The gates to the city are made of thick, iron-bound wood, and are heavily guarded at all times. Inside the city walls, the streets are narrow and winding, with many buildings constructed of the same dark gray stone as the walls. The buildings are tightly packed together, and many have been reinforced with additional fortifications to withstand any possible attack. The central district of the city is dominated by the fort itself, which is a massive, multi-level structure that houses the city's garrison and serves as the base of operations for the Hekkeran Empire's military in the region.   Despite its imposing appearance, Velethye is also a center of commerce and trade. The city's port is one of the largest in the region, and is always bustling with activity as goods are loaded and unloaded from the many ships that come and go from the port. The city's market district is also quite busy, with vendors selling a wide variety of goods, including food, textiles, and weapons.   Overall, Velethye is a vital stronghold for the Hekkeran Empire, serving as the first line of defense against potential threats from the Theocracy. Despite the constant threat of attack, the city is a bustling center of commerce and trade, and its people are proud to call it home.
