Fort Barum

Fort Barum is a military base that is located on the border between the Hekkeran Empire and the Kingdom of Melgia. It is situated between the Empire's Pallant Hills and the forested border of Melgia. The fort is more of a show than anything else, functioning much like a town and serving as a passage to the border with Melgia. The Hekkeran Empire and the Kingdom of Melgia have had a longstanding peace treaty, resulting in a friendly relationship between the two nations for many years. The fort is home to a garrison of soldiers who are tasked with maintaining the peace along the border. The soldiers are well-trained and disciplined, and are led by Captain Lianna Orellis, a seasoned commander who is respected by her troops. The fort itself is well-fortified, with high walls, sturdy gates, and towers that overlook the surrounding countryside.   Within the fort, there are various amenities that cater to the needs of soldiers and civilians alike. There is a marketplace where locals can sell their goods, as well as a tavern and inn where travelers can rest and enjoy a hot meal. The fort also boasts a training ground where soldiers can hone their combat skills, and a medical center where wounded soldiers can receive treatment.   Despite its peaceful purpose, Fort Barum is always on high alert, as tensions between the Hekkeran Empire and the Kingdom of Melgia can sometimes flare up. However, the soldiers stationed there are prepared to defend their homeland at a moment's notice, and they take their duty seriously.
