The world of Vestrum was forged in a 4000 year war between outsiders and those who originally belonged on the material plane, this war was The Founding.   Good and evil fought together to repel the forces of the outer planes. Alliances forged during this war still exist to this day, but most, were lost to time.   The people of Vestrum live a life without gods, instead, they worship the souls of ancestors and past heroes of their people. These spirits are reported to manifest on occasion during times of need.
