Exodite

The Catchall term for those who fled Old Earth Procecution.   To tuly understand the exodite, one must understand where they come from. The Exodites have a shared trauma that echoes still within their collective soul. As Space Colonization became more and more possible, as the stars were reachable, the Groups and Nations of Earth feeling like they will be snuffed out by the comming selections of who gets to go to the stars, decided to take matters into their own hands. Throwing caution to the wind, invoking the explorers of old, sailing into the unknown, they too flew past our own Star's Gravitational well all the way to distant stars. Decades and in some extreme cases centuries in travel, ships lost, losing nearly everything on their journies. Not just by leaving behind home but also ships malfunctioning and taking out large parts of the colonists or their resources or getting them stranded in empty space as they slowly died.   This is not where their struggles ended, they kept having to fight the odds, kept fighting their new homes and even later, even eachother. All of this is to say that the Exodites are less destinct by their appearance but their demeanor.   Though there are some Characteristics that define the exodites, have a tendency to be shorter on average men typically reaching 170cm while women tend to be around 160cm. a variation of around 5 to 10cm is uncommon, 11 to 20 very rare. As the long travel in space and hostile enviornenments changed them it also changed their hair. Their hair colors, having all the natural hair colors, they also have a tendency to grey quickly. A rare genetic alteration can cause their entire body hair to be UV reactive and IR reflective.   From where they come is part of them. Resistance against Authority, Acceptance of all, Hospitality and their own believes are the most common traits to spot an Exodite by. The last part requires special mention. As not all Exodites came from the same region or even earth, they all have had their own reasons to flee. Religious Persecution, War, Racism or any other sort of horrible thing could be the reason. Their Communities tend to be heavily defined by it, and why they fled. Remaining a core tenant of their local community, carrying it with them wherever they go.   Their name, Exodies, is not a chosen name by their group. It is a Manufactured term by the Romans upon first encountering them. They went through an exodus, so all those who fled earth were exodites.
