Central Defence Coalition
Overview
The Central Defense Coalition (CDC) is one of the few large territorial groups that is older than a few decades. It was created by the Central Nations due to an increasing feeling of threats from the outside, namely the Humans, the Genzians, and the Zatuman. Today it is a Union of Nations working as one in Foreign Affairs and Militarily.History
Shortly after its creation, the Zatuman suddenly went silent and the Galactic Invasional War began. With the war, the CDC had more of a goal than a general defense. The CDC lost some territory to the invaders but held its own. They fought and petitioned the Galactic Community to support their fight and save the Zatuman. A coalition of the CDC, the Humans, and their allies, and Rislite Forces sent a reclamation force and expedition into the previously lost territory. Post-war, the CDC was drained and exhausted. All its members were recovering while trying to pick up the pieces of the war, rebuilding what was lost. The defensive pact turned military alliance turned political alliance was slowly turning into an administration. Initially supportive of the Humans and their claims, they started to sour on them as they kept pushing for more and more. The CDC staved off destruction only to immediately have to fight for a different type of survival. With the proclamation of the Galactic Imperium of Stellar Communities, the CDC started to meet immediately after to see if they truly wanted to be part of it. The coalition only really began pulling out when the forces they pledged for the Galactic Army, the Galactic Defense Force, were to be converted into a new unit that was not under the collective command of its members but the new centralized command structure. The cut was fairly clean. The GISC did not intervene nor did it declare them enemies of the state as it had with the Genzians and the Eastern Rebellion. In a way, they just waited for the perfect moment. Due to already having a massive frontline and opening up a new one could have spread them too far. At least that was the CDC Command's assessment. Politically, the GISC has not acknowledged the independence of the CDC or denied it. Diplomatic channels are open, trade exists, and even some treaties, but the legal status is never addressed. A situation that the heavily fortified border and frequent patrols reflect.Structure
