Windbrace

Windbrace is a type of ivy that can be found creeping across the coastal highlands and rocky mountains of Vilstrung.   It's a sturdy plant that snakes vines around structures. It's particularly common around rocky outcrops, where it will sometimes wrap tightly around exposed stones. The Villish colloqioually call it netting.   The vines sprout stiff, waxy leaves that retain water. During the colder months, these leaves curl inwards like claws and turn bright red. Windbrace is notoriously hardy and can become invasive if not dealt with quickly; especially during foggy seasons where it grows fastest.

Cordage

Windbrace fibers are markedly tougher than most plant fibers, and can be processed into rope or bindings. It's often attributed for being among the very first plants that the Villish people domesticated for the sake of building, as their rope makes for a sturdy support in structures.    It isn't too uncommon for Villish houses to grow windbrace along the outside supports of their homes, creating heavy clumps of ivy.
