Health Potions
Health potions are the most common alchemical potion in the world. They're generally seen as a must for adventuring parties, though the incredibly foul flavor is often more than enough to turn an inexperienced explorer's stomach.
Health potions are typically bright red, viscid, and thick. They are difficult to drink due to the density that the potion takes but must be ingested in order to be processed properly. The potency of a Health Potion can be determined by its brightness.
They're exceptionally common and can be found in just about any apothecary shop.
Side Effects
Health Potions taste so foul that it's capable of causing immense mental duress. Furthermore, potent health potions that restore bones, referred to as newt potions, are generally so extreme that they cause immense pain while they reconfigure, reset, and restore the limbs. It is common for potent health potions to effectively ruin somebody's taste for the rest of their life, permitting they drink too much. Furthermore, the sheer viscosity of a health potion can risk choking if not drank slowly. Unfortunately, the more potent a health potion, the more it runs the risk of causing averse side effects. Due to these side effects, it is very uncommon for a Health Potion to be drank directly -- it is instead often administered through medicine meals; the art of mixing potions with meals to keep things palatable enough to stomach.
