Void Touch
An extremely rare disease that occurs seemingly in random to infants either when they are still in the womb or shortly after birth. It's often believed that this is caused by the babies parents or ancestors being touched by a plane of existence that collapsed during the Tear, and the magic only now reacting in this generation. The majority of Void touched infants die within the first few days or are stillborn.
Transmission & Vectors
Does not transmit from one host to another and seems to occur at random at birth or early pregnancy.
Causes
Ancestral bloodline being connected to a plane of existence that no longer exists.
Symptoms
Most often children infected with Void touch die within the first couple days but those that survive that period will usually live less than half the life-span common for their race.
Other symptoms include anaemia, exhaustion, fainting, memory loss, confusion, severe weight loss, muscle loss, chronic pains, tremors, seizures, sterility, and other things that may be unique to the afflicted.

Treatment
Methods to reduce symptoms of Void touch include Bathing in blessed water, exposure of magic similar in nature to the collapsed plane, regular blessing and miracle castings. There have also been several medications discovered by the Ennesland Doctors that can reduce symptoms for short periods of times.
It's been theorised that if a person was exposed to the exact magic or creatures from this plane may reduce or even cure victims.
