Orphans
History
Established after the Liberation War due to the number of war orphans.
Execution
In the event of a child being orphaned, whether it's due their family/kins death or if they were given up (Common during droughts or bad harvests) when the family couldn't feed them, are given where they would have the most use. The first consideration always goes to families in other towns where the parents aren't capable of children (women unable to bear children, non-compatible races, same-sex marriage, ETC.), but if there are no viable parents within a reasonable distance they may be made a ward of the army. If adopted by the army they are trained and groomed as commanders, after they come of age they may choose to leave the army or remain and become a commander. All adopted children of the army are referred to as a child of Teveron, the founder and hero of the Sykengland army.
