Moon and Eclipse

Eclipse was the first elf king, along with his queen, Queen Moon. He watched in sorrow as families tore each other apart for dominance. His best friend, Moon, had the idea to elect a king, or queen, the best from each family to compete for the throne. Moon chose herself to participate, and 10 others joined the contest as well as Eclipse. While he didn't join to win the crown, he did have a purpose for being there. He was determined to protect Moon. The rules were simple, no foul play, no sabotage, and the judges decide the winner even if you lost every challenge. So, as Eclipse was told what each challenge would be, he made plans on how to protect Moon from danger. The first challenge would be swimming to the line and back again. As Eclipse dashed off right beside Moon and Dawn, Moons best friend, he always stayed right next or behind her. He was the fifth one to finish in the challenge because he had to help save Moon from the whirlpool designed to disqualify contestants if they weren't able to get back. The second challenge was sparing. It was everyone against everyone. You can make teams, and the last team standing wins. Naturally, Moon, Dawn, and Eclipse teamed up along with Cloud and Star. The battle was brutal, and multiple elves were seriously or fatally injured but Eclipse's team won. Eclipse took most of Moon's hits, and he defended her as she attacked. Next was the challenge of archery. Eclipse, Star, Cloud, and Moon all teamed up. The challenge wasn't to hit targets; it was to hit other elves. But these were special arrows, so they didn't penetrate your skin, they only put you to sleep until the challenge is over. Eclipse saved Moon and Star, but Cloud got hit saving Star. Last was the battle of wits. The challenge was simple. Figure out how to best stop the drought. Star answered wrong, and she was hit by the Sleeping Arrows. So, Eclipse sat right next to Moon in case she got hit. She answered wrong, and Eclipse took the shot for her. But before he passed out, he whispered the answer to her. Moon tried again, and waited for the whiz of an arrow, but instead she got applause. She had won! Everyone waited until all 11 contestants were lined up to pick. Everyone thought Moon would win, but instead the Winner was Eclipse! Eclipse took the throne, and asked Moon to be his wife, and the queen. They had 4 children, Lily breeze, Lunar, River, and Onyx. Together, there was a long time of peace. And thus is the story of Moon and Eclipse in time. They changed the course of history together.
