Cour'Caligo (Cor - Cah - lee- goh)

Edame Firth and her Coven endeavor to create a mysterious realm they call "Cour'Caligo", a realm somewhere between Krider Springs in the Dimension of Dreams and Krider Springs, on the Prime Material Plane. Somehow merging the Prime Material realm with a twisted subversion of the Dimension of Dreams. A realm darker than the Nightmare Peninsula of Leng. A place where Edame and her coven will be near omnipotent and will be the unquestioned rulers.   The Coven first need their mortal followers in Krider Springs and the surrounding area to prepare the land for the coming of Cour'Caligo. The dark deed requires many sacrifices, sacrifices that the coven's cult are happy to provide.   This occult ritual requires more than just sacrifices, however. These sacrifices must be carried out in meticulous detail, at just the right moment with the right victim, with the proper implements. A sacrifice must be chosen. Their home is marked by a cultist with an occult symbol that is visible within the Dimension of Dreams. The Coven will visit the home of the sacrifice and the occult ritual begins. The Coven will lay out their occult symbols and begin sending nightmares and horrifying images through their dreams. When the sacrifice has been terrorized for a week with these nightmares, the cult will enter their home in the dead of night and surround the sleeping sacrifce. A silvered dagger must then be plunged into the heart of the sleeping dreamer, one whose mind has been entranced by the cultists into a deep slumber that touches the Dimension of Dreams. In the Dimension of Dreams, the Coven awaits to trap the sleeping mind in a Dreamstone gem, and then plunge an identical silvered dagger into the heart of the victim's dream body.   An ornate tuning fork with a silver inlaid handle is soaked in the blood of the victims physical body on the Prime Material, then wrapped in the victims own blood drenched shirt. A dark eerie mist leaves the sacrifice's corpse, escaping through their mouth and nose and spreads and continues to spread, enveloping the room, the house, the neighborhood. The victim's body deflates like an air bladder with a hole in it, fading, shrinking away until nothing remains. Leaving no trace they were there, other than the blood stains on the sheets. The mist persists for the entirety of the next day, before finally fading by dawn the day following.   Following the sacrifice, the blood soaked shirt and tuning fork are taken to the Coven in the Dimension of Dreams by a Cultist that is selected by the Coven for their own purposes and their own reasons. The Coven will take the blood soaked shirt and will unwrap the ornate tuning fork. One of the coven will plunge their silvered dagger into the heart of the deliverer cultist and their blood will be allowed to run over the tuning fork ripping the already malleable fabric of the Dimension of Dreams.
Eerie fog greets the day. A Missing Persons Poster goes up. Days go by. Another Missing Persons posters joins the first. Fear creeps into the hearts of the locals. More Fog. Unease fills the air. The masters will tell us tonight which area to search for the next sacrifice.      The smith will have the next tuning fork ready in the next day or two. Glad he didnt ask where the silver came from or the "steel" i gave him for that matter. He looked at me sideways when i asked him to use the specifications i handed him for the tuning fork, before telling me this design was elegant, but over complicated for a tuning fork, but I told him to i just want them as decorative pieces. That should satisfy him.     Once we know where to search and the smith is done, the next sacrifice will be made ready. Fog is on the way. Cour'Caligo, Come. I am ready.
