Rialto "Ray" Duquesne is the bartender at Raythanya's, a remote tavern in the tundra north of Duquesne's Fate. Folks always figured he chose the location for the coincidence of naming, though Ray himself will tell you that he named the region, not the other way around. If you spend enough time at the bar, you'll hear a lot of tall tales and tidbits out of ol' Ray. Just know, he's probably full of shit.
Until he's not.

Special abilities
Nobody has ever witnessed strange things done by Ray’s hand. However, a popular tall tale tells of six Remnants tasked with seizing his bar in the early days of the occupation. The story claims they never left, and that Rialto himself “smote them with divine fire.” While no record of any happening exists, a small patch of permanently scorched tundra behind the bar registers faintly on Geiger counters to the present day, only adding fuel to the foolish speculations.

Personal history
Ray has been a fixture of Ver Sayles since before they started keeping records. Tall tales and rumors claim that he was here tending bar when the first vessels from the Terran Coalition landed on the planet, but that was nearly a thousand years ago now.
He has what seems like firsthand knowledge of nearly every major event that’s taken place on Ver Sayles… but he also speaks of the old fairy tales of magical realms and fantastical creatures as if he were a participant, so sensible patrons take Rialto with a grain of salt.

Ray is the current and only recorded owner of Raythanya’s Tavern, alongside a co-listed "Ithanya Duquesne-Ancilar." (No established relation to Serah Ancilar)
