Summer Camp 2024
The year flew by and we're back at it again!
Last year was my first Summer Camp and I had a great time creating content for almost all of the prompts. I hit my goal of diamond and even did a prompt or two over, which was an awesome achievement. This time I'm gonna set my goals a bit lower, as last time I wore myself out between that, full-time work and life in general. So let's go for gold since I certainly have less time this year. Though I know the atmosphere and excitement around the summer camp will likely pull me on, inspiring me beyond my mortal abilities!
I'm going to focus on Lenwir again, having done a huge chunk of the Free Cities area and their diverse culture last year. I'd like to finish up some of those places and explore some other nations and cultures across Lenwir this year (Though I might dip into the Lightdark Saga World if something to delicious to write comes up).
Though great historical moments have brought changes to Venya. It is the changes of the current world that interest me this time. I'd like to focus on the current history and bring together the nations and cultures I've already fleshed out a little more.
As for the tagging and categories, they are largely done for the world, but can always be more organised. Though I think they are sufficient for now. It's hard to prepare them sometimes when I'm unsure of the exact prompts.

Homework Week 1: Change
Venya ever shifts and changes in all ways; political, environmental and magical, though rarely are these changes good. A tumultuous world seeks stability and that is not Venya. The Maelstrom still churns and other planes bleed through the fabric of reality. Few of these planes wish the denizens of the mortal realm well.Though great historical moments have brought changes to Venya. It is the changes of the current world that interest me this time. Tags and Categories
As for the tagging and categories, they are largely done for the world, but can always be more organised. Though I think they are sufficient for now. It's hard to prepare them sometimes when I'm unsure of the exact prompts.
Homework Week 2: Refuge
Though I likely covered the most well-known refuge (The Red Refuge ) in last year's summer camp there are many others that I can consider. The entire culture of The Dracis Collective is a refuge from their oppressive rulers on another continent. Though I may introduce the Kyolithal Empire of lizardmen and dinosaurs and the refuge of loyalists displaced in a recent coup.Community
I would love to find a small community to share and write with, but because of my limited time it falls to the back and the worldanvil chat moves so quickly I can't follow it on a day-to-day basis. Maybe I will yet find some friends for this.CSS and Layout
I do love a nice layout but have no experience with CSS so this is a lost cause that will just swallow my time for now. So I'll leave this for a time of year when there aren't tremendous prompts and exciting writing to enjoy.Homework Week 3: Belief
Belief is dangerous. It can lead great people to ruin; communities to radicalism and nations to dust. The sheer number of cultures and nations across Lenwir lend to many different beliefs, and with the veil between realms thinning, many can actively communicate with their nations. Cultures and cults across the continent seek to draw their beliefs into the real world, though few understand the ramifications of such things.Inspiration
I have a bank of images on Pinterest, dozens of books at home, music bursting from my computer and hundreds of ideas bouncing around in my head most of the time, only to vanish when I've written them into prompts.Maps, maps and maps
One of the best things about fantasy and sci-fi writing. I have a lot of them around, so lots to use and very excited to share them with everyone!Homework Week 4: Decay
What possesses integrity that persists a lifetime, lives but does not die, exists but avoids decay. Nothing and no one can remain stalwart while reality spins around them, chipping away the heart of their being. The world itself balances on the knifepoint of entropy, a battle between creation and destruction. Venya and the Lifedark Saga are no different with a hole punched between realms. These worlds are set to crumble into those below without the factions that hold it up. Though the strength of such factions, like Light's Talon have borne this weight for centuries. Can they persist with the growing forces that oppose them, like the darkness growing in the west or the return of the Nightmare. Hopefully we can explore more threats to people, places and factions in these prompts.Environment
I have the environment of my study/office. Only thing it needs it more bookshelves and books crowding around me so I can absorb their ideas through their auras. A man can dream.Homepage Cleanup
I am really going to do this this weekend! It needs it with the target of this world shifting. This is the part I really hate. Sorting the front page...
