The Ancient Red Dragon Avaricious
Avaricious the Acquirer, Ancient red Dragon.
The worship of smaller creatures pleases me, though their weakness is pathetic—how can they do other than adore me?
Ah, if these foolish creatures only knew they were but pawns in the games I play to amuse myself.
All that I survey, I could easily destroy. From time to time, it is important to remind these small creatures of the true extent of my power.
Cruelty. Pain and fear are the most powerful tools. With them, any creature’s will can be broken
Greed. If I desire a thing, then it must be mine and mine alone.
One of the oldest dragons alive but he does not look it because of the countless time he has spent in the place beyond time. Avaricious has been a solder and a general, A king, feared, loved, worshiped. With such a long life span his hobbies is to acquire only the rarest and hardest to get things from every generation. He has tremendous wealth and uses it like a shrewd business man. He secretly owns a piece of anything he can that is work owning.
He is sadistic. He loves to see mortals squirm under his finical domination. Bit by bit slowly making a town give everything they own to him and watch them struggle to find more. The crule things he can get them to do with pain and fear.
When he wants something it captures his attention till he has it. Sometimes he wants something just because someone else needs it and he wants to be cruel and make them do something.
He feels nothing about killing humanoids who he refers to as mortals. He controls mortals with wealth just for entertainment. If he is no longer entertained he might simple burn the place to ash and move on.
Legend of his hord of wealth and treasure is almost cliche. No one has ever entered his lair and lived to tell the tail.
Deep within the heart of the fiery volcano lay the legendary lair of the dragon, an ancient and powerful creature who had long been the stuff of legend and myth. Few dared to venture into its lair, for those who did often met with a fiery and brutal end. But one group of adventurers, known as The Dragon Hunters, had set their sights on discovering the secrets of the lair and claiming its vast treasure for themselves. Led by the brave and skilled Orryn, The Dragon Hunters consisted of Gerrard, a fierce warrior with a sharp mind, and Darian, a nimble and quick-witted thief. Together, they had faced countless challenges and dangers on their quest for treasure and glory. As they approached the entrance to the dragon's lair, Orryn and his companions could feel their hearts pounding with anticipation and fear. They knew that the dragon was hiding somewhere deep within the caverns, waiting for them to make a misstep. With swords drawn and torches held aloft, The Dragon Hunters began their descent into the lair. The air was thick with the stench of sulfur and ash, and the ground rumbled beneath their feet. As they made their way deeper into the lair, the hunters were greeted by the sight of countless treasures, glittering in the flickering light of their torches. Orryn led the way, carefully examining each pile of gold and jewels for any sign of danger. But despite their efforts, they found no trace of the dragon. No roars or hisses, no tremors in the earth, no flames licking at their heels. It was as if the creature had vanished into thin air. Undaunted, The Dragon Hunters pressed on, their determination growing with each step. They came across hidden chambers and tunnels, filled with strange artifacts and relics of untold power. They discovered traps and mechanisms designed to protect the dragon's hoard, and ancient runes etched into the walls, each one telling a story of the dragon's long and storied history. As they reached the heart of the lair, however, they found that the dragon was still nowhere to be seen. It was as if the creature had vanished without a trace.
