Welcome to Veilune, a world of myths and magics, hereos and horrors, lore and legend, and likely too much ale. While arcane and mystical secrets perferate the landscape and ecosystem of Veilune, most have accepted that the Divines have abandoned the Mortal Realm, and while some claim many miracles in the name of the Divines, most are as rediculed and disdained. Few doubt the past existence of the divine, as their remnants are still discovered to this day, but few prayers are answered, and fewer visions are believed.   Since the Divine Withdrawal, the world has been left to the devices of mortals-for better or for worse.   While most spend their day-to-day lives in relative peace, all live with the distant, nagging knowledge of the growing despair that grows in the Dovorian Lands, a land constantly beseiged by the unknown forces of the Despair.   Veilune is a world ripe with adventure, danger, lost knowledge, hidden sorcery, and plenty of trouble to get into. Veilune is reminiscent of a time in the Middle Ages, but magic abounds in major cities with smaller settlements and rural areas viewing magic with a sense of awe--and possibly fear. Politics are constantly in flux, power is constantly being fought over, and stories are just waiting to be made. Please, step forward and discover what lies in wait.
