The Shield
The western border of Ydall’s Heart, the Shield is a large area of hilly grassland that suffers the most dry heat in all of Iron due to its proximity to Ember. It is open and airy, sparsely populated. Runs from the base of the Virnach Mountains where the Stone Labyrinth resides down to border the Heartlands in the South.
Markas Sentel is Duke of Stone Labyrinth, Iron Lord of the Shield, the Gargoyle, Chair on the Emperor’s Council.
