Lilabella's Diary Entry- 10th of Goa’ 3742
10th of Goa’ 3742
After many years of traveling the world, My search for The Miracle Rings still has been very unsuccessful. However, I’ve gotten to see so many wonderful and dreadful things on our journeys, even being honored with the privilege to travel with a Lord of The Yaeldrin House.
The local dwarves are very leery of our little band given that we are but elves in their home so foreign to us. Over the past few days a few have shared a legend about the great crystal illuminating this cavern being the by-product of a dwarven work known as The Sun’s Halo.
While local Leagenond in a wildly beautiful city fascinates me, the Hospitality is not quite so endearing among the dwarves. There are no Inn’s here and the only establishment that has offered to have us thus far is a lively sight known as the Stained Ruby. The owner Mistress Cornell has been so very welcoming aside from her exotic establishment getting the better of such a refined Elf as Lord Yealdrin. I really must say it's a sight to see a Lord turn those shades of red. I wonder if he’ll ever give me his informal greeting.
On another note, I’m not really sure where it started but as of late I’ve been hearing bards sing the exploits of “The Queen of Paths” described as a beautiful elven woman and when crossed will aid ye and bring good fortune, as the bards sing. I do believe whoever started that nonsense about me, be made to eat my left boot with a side of stale breed and a lack of water. However flattering it may be, I help those I meet with my own kindness and not for the praise of some man’s muse.
Phrases one day I’ll return to my great grandmother’s homeland, what’s not still smoldering in ash anyways. The Lantern Wood was once so beautiful. The memories of my grandfather’s spiritual retreats there are fond to me.
