The Pillars

The Pillar Pantheon is centered around the God, Malm. The dwarves revere and tolerate little disrespect towards their pantheon, and they are fiercely devoted to their Gods.

Mythology & Lore

"Dag to fill the the lands with soil; groves, earth, lives to toil   Malm to raise the earth sky high; iron and stone to shape life by   Sjo to flood the plains with seas; waters, oceans, wind in leaves   Rett to embody honour and grace; justice, morals for man to embrace   Eir to fan the flames of war; carnage, passion, blood and gore   Faeill to find the truth in lies; mischief and plots to devise"

Divine Origins

The Godfall Comet is rumoured to be a dwarven god cast down into the molten pits of the underdark, but the rest of the pantheons origin is mired in much myth and hearsay.

Cosmological Views

According to the Dwarves, the gods sprung from the "Void Which Was Iron". After this, the Gods created the world and the races who reside there, but not before Malm created his children, the dwarves themselves. They consider themselves the oldest race in the world, and base their supremacy and claim to it on that.   Upon dying, a believers soul is sent to the Halls of Rememberance. A place where all knowledge is gathered. Here they are judged by Rett and her Tribunal of Righteous Seven.   Depending on the Tribunals ruling, the soul is sent to either the Tempest, or the Stillness.   The Tempest is a realm of neverending storms. Lost souls are trapped on a shipwrecked vessel known as Naglfar. Surrounded by a vast expanse of furious waves and thunderous clouds. A giant vortex is drawing the ship ever closer, and it is believed that when the ship reaches the eye of the storm, the world will end.   The Stillness is a peaceful realm, an endless lush field of wonder and tranquility. This is where the gods reside in their assorted halls.

Worship

Worship is usually done in temples in Dwarven Holds, but some of the deities are more forgiving than others.

Priesthood

Highpriests are usually dedicated to one specific deity, and are chosen by the clergy, from among the clergy. The Highpriest of Malm usually leads the highpriests themselves, but it is not unheard of for another, more strongwilled dwarf to take charge of the religion.

Granted Divine Powers

Clerical powers of all kinds, and dwarven crafters are said to work with their gods blessing and design in their forges.

Political Influence & Intrigue

Highpriests usually have a considerate amount of power of the government, and they are among the groups that vote on, and regulate dwarven laws.
