A Great City of Trade

With its prime location situated at the mouth of the Lake Erquad, spilling into the Sea of the Mother, and its nearness to the Kingdom of Seinis in Greater Huraedon, Antequera has become a mighty trading city dealing in the wealth of the Mendesian and the riches of Seinis. The city is divided between the Merchant Princes who rule in council together. There are sixty-six of them, and they each vie for a greater share of the port city over each other. It is a risky venture to be a merchant - a single lost fleet can spell doom for you as the other princes tear you down - but the rewards are beyond compare. Wealth and luxuries await a prospective merchant in Antequera, and if one can connive their way into the ranks of the Merchant Princes they will find even greater treasures.

Dangers in the Dark

But poisons and knives in the dark are also in the city. The seedy underbelly of Antequera is well known, and the poor chafe under the heavy yoke of their merchant masters. The Thieves' Guild makes a pretty penny here, as well.
