Alden is the richest barony in Valoroth. The Sora mountain range that runs through Alden is home to vast gold seams.
Baron Reynald Duval was quick to swear fealty to Richard the Protector after he took the throne. Alden has provided much of the gold necessary for the war with the Stone Dwarves.
