SteelBark Spines

Properties

Material Characteristics

After smelting it is slightly stronger and more durable than steel and can be sharpend to a razor point. However it is an uncommon material to encounter due to the fact that there are much better options for a slightly more expensive price.

Deep red.

Biological Metal

Can be used as either a metal or wood.

If smelted the material becomes metalic after it cools. Before smelting it acts like a flexable hard-wood and is good for Carpentry and Fletching.

Is like a cheaped version of Iron Wood.

Physical & Chemical Properties

Acts like a flexable hard wood if not smelted.

After being Smelted it gains a dull shine and behaves like a metal.

Distinct look.

Origin & Source

The SpineBark Tree. From above ground the tree looks like a small bush with bright red berried and orange thorns however, when dug up the trees truck becomes exposed. The "spines" on the trunk are then lopped off and the trunk is re-burried to grow new spines once more.
