Lake Mallo
A lake in the central Windward Peninsula, Lake Mallo is fed by several glacial streams from the nearby Silverpeak Mountains. It is known for its year-round cool waters.
Approximately eight miles wide, and three and a half miles across, the lake fills a shallow basin in the peninsula. Its waters drain to the east into the Sea of Whispers.
The town of Duskwick is built approximately a mile and half upstream from the point at which one of the lake's three main tributaries feed into it.
Tourism
During the summer months, Mallo is a popular destination for residents of nearby Duskwick, looking to cool off in the glacial waters of the lake.
