Kudamat

The Age of the Old Gods

In the ancient annals of history, long before mortals ruled the world, the Old Gods reigned supreme. Among them was Kudamat, a deity of immense power, who stood alongside his siblings—Ouna, Tyferr, and Zegal—in an eternal struggle for dominance. Their battles shaped the very fabric of existence, carving mountains and splitting seas. But their reign would not last forever.

The Devastation and the Fall of the Gods

Two hundred years ago, a mortal civilization known as the Aetherkrin rose to power. Unlike the primitive societies that once worshiped the Old Gods, the Aetherkrin wielded advanced technology, harnessing forces beyond divine comprehension. In a cataclysmic conflict known as the Devastation, they waged war against the gods themselves. Through ingenuity and sheer determination, the Aetherkrin defeated the Old Gods. Kudamat, once a being of unimaginable might, was shattered into nine divine shards, each containing a fragment of his essence. His remains were buried deep beneath Godfell Mountain, a grim monument to the fall of divinity. The

Rise of the Scions and the Scion War

The Aetherkrin, now victorious, sought to claim the power of the gods for themselves. The nine greatest among them, known as the Scions of Aetherkrin, took up the shards of Kudamat, absorbing their divine energy. With godlike abilities at their command, they became near-immortal rulers—but power corrupts, and soon, war erupted among them. The Scion War raged for decades, as the Scions fought for dominance. Three fell in battle, their shards lost or destroyed. Realizing that continued conflict would doom the world, the remaining six came to a grim accord. They sealed themselves away in the Hallows Above, ascending as the New Gods, and left behind a powerful AI to enforce peace and guard the last remaining shards.

The Awakening of Quantum and Kudamat’s Return

For centuries, the world knew relative peace—until sixty years ago, when mining operations began around Godfell Mountain. Deep within its caverns, miners discovered Quantum, a strange, glowing substance of immense power. Unbeknownst to them, Quantum was the hardened essence of Kudamat, seeping through the earth like divine blood. As mortals harnessed Quantum for energy and weaponry, the mountain stirred. Kudamat, though shattered, was not dead. His consciousness lingered, whispering to those who drew near. His goal was clear: reunite the shards of his being. If even a few were brought near Godfell Mountain, his power would surge enough to awaken the Titans of old—colossal beings of destruction that once served him. With the Titans unleashed, Kudamat could reclaim his godhood, shatter the Hallows Above, and bring ruin to the New Gods who had abandoned the world.
