Malanti, Falor Paj, 13th, Walmop, 3980

Malanti are creatures similar to rabbits, with their hopping and swiftness, and moles, with their ability to dig around. The result is a small animal that can go subterranean for months on end if needed and has adapted to deserts. These creatures are able to extract small droplets of water from the most underground sand, and then store that water for over 3 months. Because of their small size, Malanti are able to store up this water. They also are cannibals. These animals are omnivores. When they finally are able to survive by themselves, they eat their parents to get a head start on energy. The males also kill and eat other males to impress females. Malanti are r-selective mammals, birthing about a dozen offspring.
