The title of Great Knight is given to the leader of the Knightly Orders. To become a great knight, you must be chosen by the Monsoon King himself, no matter how qualified they are. Usually, knights will serve ten years of their life before considering the idea of becoming a Great Knight. Great Knights are chosen by the king to represent a specific Knightly Order. There are usually 12 - 18 Great Knights at a time, with 2 or 3 for each order. As a Great Knight, you will represent your order to the king alongside other Great Knights representing your order. You are appointed to the position of Great Knight by the Monsoon King in a knighting ceremony. This ceremony involves holy water being poured on both shoulders, then the king tells you to rise as Lord [name]. The title of Great Knight is also a religious title. It is significant in The Monsoon Creed, seen as a chosen of the gods.
