Session 27: Beyond the sea part 2

  Upon arrival at the Abyss stalker containment facility Team 33 decides to split up in search for the black box under the disguise of being new recruits. Unfortunately they seem to have a time limit of 6hrs because at 6am all the recruits get taken somewhere for further directions into their assigned posts. During their investigation C stumbles upon a group of hyper intelligent rats who are hellbent on world domination, thinking nothing of it agrees to get them out of there mainly because she wants to see what happens if they were to be tossed into the bag of devouring.     Once they arrive at the area containing the biggest threats in the facility the group witnesses an apparition of what seems to be a scientist of the facility pleading for his freedom, pressured by time and with no real direction of where the black box might be they make a deal with the doctor-like creature, He gets his freedom in exchange for help locating the box. With the deal established, the group heads to the main power generator building and sacrificing Stacy, one of the hyper intelligent rats, the power in all of the complex is momentarily shut down which gives the team a small window to escape. Retrieving the now known entity as Loth the Ultroloth, the group uses them to locate the box which they spot down in a basement only accessible via an elevator with a high-ranking security card clearance. In the chaos of the creatures being released the group manages to arrive at the elevators and with the security card C had lifted from Dr. Hannah when she escaped the elevator descends into the basement.     Now in the basement floor the group hurries to find the box as quickly as possible but stops when they see what the area is meant for. A massive egg with a deep blue color nearly pitch black, inside it probably hundreds of nightmarish serpent like creatures swim around inside it. Suddenly the group turns to hide as footsteps approach. All is quiet until a voice speaks out, a calm but strict sounding voice that C instantly recognizes as Dr. Hannah Law seems to have spotted them despite their best efforts to hide and when stepping into Aalik’s line of sight he identifies her as the bearer of the 2nd Scavenger relic. Behind them seemingly appearing out of thin air as if she had always been there, a now healed and rage filled elf known as Hazel mae points a weird looking sniper rifle at the team letting a snarky grin form on her mouth.     With nowhere to run the group prepares for combat to which Hannah seems pleased with the response as she instructs Hazel not to kill them since they make for prime experiment candidates. Ignoring this order Hazel begins to shoot toxic bullets smelling of squid with deadly precision particularly centered towards Estell. As combat rages on Estell decides to make a run for the box and as soon as he grabs it he teleports away via cat to much of the group’s shock.       Now with one party member gone and two others looking to be critically injured the group makes the difficult decision to retreat, not before Zay, holding the Amber staff, breaks through the glass containing the colossal egg, teleporting away with it along with Ultroloth and a shaking C.     As the egg is stolen, Lucas witnesses how Hannah lets out a primal scream that for an instant seems to have revealed a rather savage visage of the doctor as he passes out due to sustaining a devastating bullet wound that ripped his ear off.     With Gal0d2 and Lucas at death’s door and a pissed off Hannah and Hazel looking at him, Aalik now must choose which team member he could teleport with. Guilt ridden but bottling it deep down the choice is made to save Lucas leaving behind a now broken robot known as Gal0d2.
