Session 19: Out there

With the amber staff in hand, group 33 decides to run some minor errands before visiting Neizve for their reward.

  With the amber staff in hand, group 33 decides to run some minor errands before visiting Neizve for their reward. Remembering they still need to have the moonstone necklace replicated and the battery delivered they quickly travel to the institute. They find both Kanna and Dale in the observatorium going over the launch plans and after spotting the team they set out to the launch site alongside some of the members of the illusion class so as to cover the rocket and avoid the public eye     With everything in place the launch sequence is started but the crew is ambushed by thugs wearing the same uniform they saw at the moonstone bidding. Fearing for the safety of the students, Kanna safely transports them back to the school and stays back to aid team 33 in the fight. Quickly turning the tides on the battle, the thugs make a run for it but sadly they fail to make it far on their getaway van because a hasted Gal0d is quickly gaining on them who after shooting the tires sees how the van falls off a cliff and explodes.     Unable to stop the launch sequence the rocket departs fully visible to the public eye and the group looks up to see how shortly after departing the rocket explodes. Wishing to know where he went wrong, Dale pleads with the team to recover the blackbox that has landed in the middle of the ocean. The group accepts.   Returning to the institute the group has a chat with Kanna about the moonstone necklace which she agrees to replicate as soon as possible in exchange for some blood from the scavenger colossus. Although a bit unnerved by the request, the group agrees with the task and adds it to their to do list. Before departing to see Neizve Kanna gives them the colossus rib bone shard to the team so as to see if Neizve can find out anything about it.     Finally arriving at the sanctuary and locating Neizve in his office the group hands over both the staff and the rib bone and together they ponder what the rib bone could do. After about an hour or so of brainstorming, Neizve gets the idea to “Get primal with it” and starts bashing the rib with the amber staff as the amber gives off a red and black light. Once the light fades away all that remains on the table is a small teardrop gem made out of pitch black obsidian. Cautiously Aalik approaches it but as soon as he picks it up the group sees how the gem enters Aalik’s system as he screams in pain until passing out.
