Dwarves (dwɔːvz)
The People in the Mountain. The Underground Warriors.
Short yet hardy, the dwarves live in their deep underground city of HearthHome. Carved right into the side of the Cataclysma, this vast underground network goes deep, and yet it does not penetrate into the entrance to Fernal.
The Great Hammer of the Dwarves, Houtund is a fair yet materialistic ruler, ruling alongside their two brothers, Grafnir and Delec. Whether they are malee, female, or neither is unknown since the Hammer has such a large beard that it is virtually impossible to tell.

Additional Information
Social Structure
The mountain dwarves fall under the direct rule of the Great Hammer, Houtund. Lawful and adhering to order, the dwarves follow their King's wishes in most political situations. The trading with the demon races of Fernal is not a particularly popular practice, but the dwarves did not question Houtund's orders when they gave them.
Civilization and Culture
Gender Ideals
Because all dwarves commonly sport facial hair and deep voices, there is little to no gender distinction between men, women, and nonbinary dwarves. Due to this lack of distinction, the dwarven community is seen as much more accepting than the more rigorous expectations of the humans. This also means that homosexuality is more common in dwarven cultures. Not because there are more gay dwarves, but because the dwarves cannot tell each other apart until it's too late.
