Demihuman

In the Sixth World, “humanity” refers to all demihumans. There’s no singular “human” race like there is in other settings. Quicklings are the equivalent to what we would understand as a baseline human, but it is understood that all of humanity shares a common ancestry, and a common tie to giantkind. They intermingle commonly, and are often more defined by their culture, though there are also true differences between the races as well based on their various influences and origins. Even elves and gnomes, who have diverged the farthest in some ways are still considered human. Because of this, for demihumans Culture often matters a lot more than Ancestry, but some such as the dwarves keep their own unique traditions no matter what culture they adopt.

Demihumans are the predominant people of Uskara, and in many ways considered its original people. Humans are the favorites of Mitra, and claim the World as their patrimony. While there is evidence of other peoples having existed in other ages, they have faded as humanity has ascended.
