Seftnir, True God of Tempests, is the deity that embodies the fury of storm and sea. HE was once a storm giant - mighty even amongst HIS race - until HIS ascension at some point in the third cycle of Urvén's history.
To giants, Seftnir represents their self-perceived authority over "lesser" races, as well as their rejection of the jotun's authority over them. HE is also worshipped by other races, particularly those who travel the sea.
Artifacts
Seftnir is known for carrying a mighty hammer, the head of which weighs more than 300 pounds and the strikes of which leave behind lingering squalls. In addition, most javelins of lightning are inscribed with the runes of HIS name.
Mental characteristics
Accomplishments & Achievements
Seftnir is famous for two accomplishments. The slaying of a jotun - highly unusual even for a storm giant of exceptional strength and skill - and the [tooltip:A little over 23,000 miles, completed mostly underwater.]circumnavigation of Urvén on foot. HIS athleticism and determination revealed to HIM the "truth of the world" and HE ascended to godhood to mantle the powers of the fury of the storm.
