The ancient Black Dragon, Vurgormazatroth (Vurgormaz), unleashes a war of destruction upon the free peoples of Urth. Enslaving Goblinoids, Norvurk Orcs, and mobilizing the largest assembled army of Kobolds, Vurgormaz was able to combine his forces with Ogre, Gnoll, Hassyth, and Sahuagin allies in a tidal wave of death. With limited assistance from the Green dragonflight, Vurgormaz's armies nearly destroyed Lushan and crippled Highmountain before the formation of the Great Alliance of Free Peoples was officially formed. The counteroffensive of the alliance turned the tide, destroying Vurgormaz's armies and forcing him to flee into hiding. Vurgormaz has not been seen since.
