The Winds of Magic

Overview

  The Winds of Magic are present in everything around the world including the people that inhabit it. Most people's winds are minuscule, but a small amount of people are born overflowing with magic (called genasi). Rarer still are those who harness their elemental power later in life.

List of Elements

  Fire. The element of fire genasi and all things hot. Those who carry the wind of flames seem to have burning souls. Take this wind of magic for extra burn damage and unique fire spells. Notable holders: Professor Darius Liir, Hera von Leclair, Murphy Kingston   Water. The element of water genasi and the sea. Those who carry the wind of the water can be as serene as the ocean's gentle waves or as harsh as a strong tsunami. Take this wind of magic to control the battlefield with AOE effects or heal your allies. Notable holders: Father Shen, Odysseus Alighieri   Earth. The element of earth genasi and the soil below. Those who carry the wind of the earth are said to be as sturdy as the mountains and as tenacious as the shaking earth. Take this wind of magic to control the battlefield with AOE ground targeted effects. Notable holders: Professor Wen Huizhong, Chateau de Latour, Nikola Hargreeves   Air: The element of air genasi and the breeze above. Those who carry the winds of… wind… are said to be flighty and adaptable. Take this wind of magic to buff your allies and knock enemies back. Notable holders: Catrina von Kingsley   Lightning. The element of crackling electricity. Those who carry the wind of lightning are said to be rebellious and inventive. Take this wind of magic for a unique list of spells and added burst damage. Notable holders: Ildirim von Voluptus, Leo di Pietro   Sound. The element of all sounds from beautiful arias to nails scraping on a chalkboard. Those who carry the wind of sound are said to be sensitive creatives. Take this wind for buffing abilities and a unique list of spells. Notable holders: Aleon Liir, Catrina von Kingsley   Magma. The wind of the earth's core and the heat beneath. Those who carry the wind of the deep earth are said to be like ticking time bombs. Take this wind for a unique list of spells and multi-target DPS. Notable holders: Millie van Fenrir   Ice. The wind of the freezing cold. Those who carry the wind of ice are said to be just as icy as their wind although they truly do feel their emotions; just very quietly. Take this wind for debuffs and added DPS. Notable holders: Grandmaster Talia Seteno   Life. The wind of flora and plants. Those who carry the wind of life are said to be open, gentle, and kind. Take this wind for increased healing and AOE crowd control. Notable holders: Catrina von Kingsley   Beast. The wind of fauna and wildlife. Those who carry the wind of the wild are said to be incredibly in tune with nature and very good with animals. Take this wind for increased DPS and a unique spell list. Notable holders: None   Spirits. The winds of death, decomposition, and the world beyond the living. Those who carry the winds of death are said to be incredibly eccentric individuals with very keen eyes. Take this wind for reduced necromancy spell costs, a unique spell list, unique resistances, and the inherent ability to communicate with the dead. Notable holders: Dyatlov, Wyrd von Krolock   Light. The element of celestials and all things holy. Those who carry the wind of light are said to be blessed by the gods and incredibly loyal to the gods who blessed them. Take this wind for increased healing, a unique spell list, and added burst damage. Notable holders: Professor Celia Hawthorne, Atria Eldath Aldebaran, Hian Amascient, Rosala Amascient   Darkness. The wind of all things that lurk away from prying eyes such as devils and the old gods. Those who carry the wind of Darkness are often fated to doom and ruin at the cost of great power. Take this wind for stealth abilities, debuffs, and unique resistances. Notable holders: Professor Adonis Alighieri, Duke Cervantes von Laurent, Vael Dwo, Azaloth de Fleur
