Materials: A shard of coal
Duration: 1 round
You create a jagged spike of pure concentrated shadow and strike with it. Make a melee spell attack against one target in range. On hit, the target suffers 1d8 necrotic damage and gets surrounded by a dark cloud. The target is blinded until the start of your next turn. The blindness ends early if the target willingly moves.
At higher levels: This spell's damage increases by 1d8 when you reach 5th level (2d8), 11th level (3d8), and 17th level (4d8).
