Tamar
Tamar is the former wife of Peter the First Son now she is reveared.
When they first met, her father was The First Son leading The Son's of Judas as the head of The Twelve Disciples they didn't have much then, but it was different for her. All the tithes were paid to the twelve. She didn't have a lot of freedom, but she had more than most and she had a belly full.
She was young, just sixteen when she first met Peter the First Son her father had found that he was a hard worker. He'd used the young Peter, he'd groomed him to become the next of (TBW) The First Son's.
There had been another boy, before Peter, it had been planed before, but she had seen the poverty he lived in. He would never be great and she could never live with less than she was accustomed to.
She didn't want to be like her mother. (TBW) Martha was a small week woman. She couldn't stand up for herself. She couldn't defend herself and she didn't try. It was another thing Tamar couldn't stand to be. The boy before Peter was like her father. Cruel and hard, in some ways, he would have been a good First Son, but he lacked the temperance to do so. Although a man might punish his wife, it wasn't proper to do so in public. He hadn't learned that. She chose Peter.
He was kind, earnest, soft. There were things she saw in him that her father did not. She would never tell, as long as Peter kept to the path, it kept her in power, but when he strayed, ah. There was her real chance. If she could not have the power her father and husband had wielded, perhaps there was a way she could have more. There were women in the holy text, perhaps she could exemplify one of them, perhaps she could so raise herself in the sight of men that she would never suffer again. A bit like Mary really, a pure and virtuous woman by all accounts.
