The Steel Dragoons

Base of Operations: The Steel Fleet. A mobile fleet of heavily armed and armored ships, they make birth on an island off the western coast of Aranoc. Commonly known info: Considered a sort of police force by the world at large it is the duty of the Dragoon’s to root out the everyday evils that threaten the peace of the Church Nations. They keep one step ahead of violators by staying at sea, ensuring their near constant mobility. Their deck mages are always top tier graduates of the Temple or the University of the Unseen Path. Their warrior’s skill and fortitude are unrivaled.   Goals and Ideals:   Leadership:   Behind the Curtain Information: The Hierophant has literally dozens and dozens of knightly orders and holy warrior at his disposal, groups dedicated to the various ideals the Cathedral fosters take up causes and carry out the will of the head of the church. The Steel Dragoon’s are the one exception. While they are first and foremost a mercenary company, they enjoy a special recognition by the Hierophant and are hired to perform tasks that cannot be assigned to the Sisters of the Thorn or the Knights of the Word. Various clandestine activities that the Cathedral cannot avow any knowledge of. Rescuing dignitaries, quelling riots, neutralizing cults and brokering intelligence they do the tasks that the more public and “proper” devotees of the Cathedral cannot perform. It was the Dragoon’s that spirited the Hierophant to Louvre during the First Prophet’s Crusade, it was they who spearheaded the assault on the Sanctuary to retake the temple of Derenthen. The Dragoon’s traditionally protected pilgrims and the common man from the violence religious conflict can bring.
