Feline
Feline is not a spoken language. It is an instinct shared by all creatures with feline traits. These include natural beasts like panthers and lions as well as intelligent beings such as tabaxi tressym and displacer beasts. Communication comes through a mix of body position vocal tone scent cues and emotional presence. No training is needed. If a creature is feline enough it simply understands.
The range of expression is limited but clear. A catlike creature can share ideas such as food ahead danger near who are you or I belong here. These messages come across as feelings more than structured thought. There is no way to tell a story or give instructions. Instead the communication is sharp immediate and often critical for survival.
Feline cannot be translated written or studied. It does not exist in books or scrolls and cannot be replicated by spells that rely on known languages. Even when under the effects of magic a creature that is not feline will hear only meaningless sounds.
