Dragon Crown

While thought to be a single item, it is actually several ornaments, that can be used as masks if on their own, attached to draconic steel crown, the front of the crown depicts a crowned dragon's head roaring. Each ornament is crafted from the scales of the dragon of that type to look like the dragon of that type, though it should be commented that they're not based on the greatwyrms as comparisons have been made.   It should be noted that while the artifact does appear in the Codex of Artifacts, only the central band, currently attached ornaments are depicted and the owner of that named, as the main entry, with the full list being in the appendix.

Importance and uses

Worn by the ruler of Draconia, the crown is suppose to give power over dragons, as well as increasing the raw power of the dragon wearing the crown. The induvial ornaments, are suppose to grant part of this power, as well as being able to be attached to other artifacts, such as the Dragonwing harp. It should be noted both the mask and ornaments resize themselves according to need.

The ornaments history and location

While several of the ornaments have little history, being with the greatwyrm throughout the era of ages, a few have played roles in the history of Unidina. Each refers to one of the major types of dragon.

Amethyst

Current location - centre piece of the Caen ducal circlet, owned by Iti.
While the mask has always been used by Iti, it became part of the ducal circlet in the after the Rivellian revolts, being temporally handed to King Jaquin made a circlet for each dukedom.

Black

Current location - Missing, last seen at battle of Shadowbrook worn by Raviwrar.
While the Black ornament hasn't been seen since the slave revolts, it has been the cause of multiple expeditions into the Mire of lost souls trying to find it.

Blue

Current owner - Zisephaynth
Has been part of her horde since before the era of ages, though it was temporally lent out to one of Girliorth's bounty hunters during the Crisis of the Fey age.

Brass

Current owner - Part of mummy lords headset at Vakava
Though at first only rumoured to exist, an expedition through the Zezhuanth desert confirmed it's existance.

Bronze

Current owner - Part of Siren's Crown, owned by Lyzzaru
The bronze ornament was lost early in the slave revolts, only to show up in the hands of pirate captain who used it to try and dominate Lyzzaru. Zumontiarth took back the piece before handing it to his sister, who made the Siren's crown around it.

Copper

Current owner - Lost
While Vighoi did have the ornament upto the Divine age, he lost it in a bet to a white city mage. It became part of a magic staff that granted the mage formidable power. The staff however was destroyed and the ornament stolen during the colpase of the Empire of Akoom. It has not been seen since.

Crystal

Current owner - Lost, believed to be buried with Saberfang.
Gifted to Saberfang by Raelgil Sepa, the piece became a cloak fastener. It disappeared slightly after his death, with the Grim Tribe saying it travelled with them for a time. It location is only theorized at this point.

Emerald

Current owner - Part of the Dragonwing harp owned by Miodulth
This was made into the harp before the slave revolts.

Gold

Current owner - Part of underempire crown, worn by Dwarf king
It is unclear how this came to pass, not even the dwarfs know and Pailron refuses to say.

Green

Current owner -Essyrri, part of main crown.
This has never been separated from main crown.

Red

Current owner - Zezhuanth
Probably the most important one in the fey age. The ornament was somehow banished with Sardia in the ancient era, who during the crisis gave the piece to Geneviève as a boon for her loyality. This would be taken by Stephan when he assinanted her and given to Lokz. This would then be given back to Zezhuanth after Lokz' death.

Sapphire

Current owner - Used as helmet for Girliorth's captain of the guard.
Seen perodacily though never leaves Sapphire Gate.

Silver

Current owner - Buried with Jindrai.
Jindrai used this as a helm while in mortal form, and permanently so after the Crisis of the Fey age. Upon his death, the orniment was buired, still as a helm.

Topaz

Current owner -Essyrri, part of main crown.
This has never been separated from main crown, though Zumontiarth has asked for it back during the Fey age.

White

Current owner -Essyrri, part of main crown.
This has never been separated from main crown.
