The Famine King

Last king of the Rashiars. He is responsible for the downfall of his people.   His tail is as follows:   Placed as caretaker of this holiest locale, known as the House of Thunder, the peoples of Rashiar dutifully fulfilled their diligences to their gods every day until the day their world was removed from the outer world by the great barriers. Cut off from fresh water and food, resources became scarce. In a most horrible decision, the King declared that only enough food and water existed to feed half the population. By lottery of which the King and his household were excluded, half the population was slain so that the others might survive. With food and meat especially scarce, the King used dark magic to preserve many of the bodies so that his household could continue to eat meat, eating the slain half of his population. But half the population was not enough, so half it was again. And yet, the King and his family did not suffer. The people of the Rashiar, feeling betrayed, rose up and imprisoned the king with his family, saying that if they want to eat, then they can eat each other. What happened in their bricked off prison is unknown. Within months, the Rashiars start losing weight and starving despite whatever they eat. It soon came to pass that they had been cursed with only human flesh being able to sustain them. The people then slowly descend to savagery as they fall upon themselves. However, this hunger didn’t end with death. Their spirits were hungry and unable to find release from the House of Thunder. Once all living flesh was consumed, the spirts began feeding off of each other, in an endless cycle. Worse yet, each spirit as it was consumed would be reborn days later, hungrier than before, for the flesh and spirits of its fellow Rashiars.
