Mirror of Dark Reflections

Made from black stained scrimshaw, this handheld mirror uses an oval of polished zirconium as a reflective surface. This creates imprecise shadowy images within the mirror. Surrounding the mirror are twelve small rubies.   The mirror has potent necromantic and abjuration magic. If the mirror is charged, the holder can use an immediate action visualize the image of another within 10' range into the surface of the mirror the instant the mirror holder becomes the target of an attack.   If the targeted attack is a hit, the image springs forth just like a mirror image. Similarly to a mirror image, it has a chance to be struck rather than the mirror holder (50%).   If the mirror-holder is struck the image fades, becoming a Phantasmal Killer which attacks the attacker.   If the image is instead struck, the attack is directed at individual whom the image belongs to. The image fades, and the new target now receives the full impact of the attack should it hit the new targets AC. The chance to hit is the same final number of the initial attack, albeit with a -5 penalty to hit.   Charging the mirror requires the ability to drain energy. The use of drain energy must be used on the mirror within ten minutes of when the mirror is activated. Failure to charge the mirror before using it instead causes the holder to lose 30% of their hit point total and gain one negative level to charge it, then it works as listed above.
