Motivation
He was previously motivated to continue in the footsteps of his mother but was deathly afraid of taking the wrong path. Because of this he tries very hard to stay within his role and not overstep. Recently he has begun to doubt the church's intentions as a whole and has be plagued by guilt for actions he thought he did in good faith.
