Skald' Tribal Confederation
Skald' society is built around tribal and band identity, but conflict between the tribes risks spilling over into alien populations, which would weaken all the Skald'. In order to do this all of the Kechikan formed the Confederation to ensure some peace between the tribes, and peace between the Skald' and other people.
Structure
There are Eight Tribes or Lats in the Confederation; Hadalat, Shenlat, Roowlat, Howunlat, Munrelat, Warunlat, Shawalat, Turulat. Each tribe is lead by its own Kechikan, and is made up of Bands called Zer. Each Band is lead by a Kechik, except for the band that is lead by the Kechikan of Tribe.
Hadalat
The Hadalat (Salt People) is the most powerful tribe in the confederation. They are lead by Kechikan Hada Yul, who serves as the de facto leader of the Confederation. The size the Hadalat is though to number near 1 billion Skald'Shenlat
The Shenlat (Fish Eating People) is the second most powerful tribe. Their Kechikan is Shen Num. The Shenlat are known for their expertise in craft, and most of their bands are Urban or Astral.Roowlat
The Roowlat (Hard Mountain People) occupy the mountainous regions in the northern hemisphere of the Skald'ra. The current Kechikan of the Roowlat is Roh Fen.Howunlat
The Howunlat (Tall Tree People) live in the great Hownu Forest, a large rainforest just north of the equator. Their current Kechikan is Howu Nul.Munrelat
The Munrelat (Dry Sand People) occupy the desert region in the southern continent of Skald'ra. Their current Kechikan is Mun LazWarunlat
The Warunlat (Twisted Fang People) produce some of the toughest warriors of the Skald'. Their current Kechikan is Wahr Kwel.Shawalat
The Shawalat (Lost Southern People) live in the far south of the world. Their current Kechikan is Sha LasTurulat
The Turulat (Island People) are from an archipelago in the south western ocean of Skald'ra. The Kechikan of the Turulat is Turu Shau.
